Ex nihilo ad nihilum

From nothing to nothing all things we will bring
The ultimate kismet of everything
Existence is nothing, a fleeting façade
The Universe naught but a cosmic petard
That hoisted us skyward in our estimation
When truly the dust of the ground is our station
What more can I say to convince you it’s true?
When you’re gone only atoms is what’s left of you

From nothing to nothing all things we will bring
A fatal misfortune, a meaningless fling
We’re nothing but drops in an infinite ocean
Imagining more, an erroneous notion
So don’t miss the point or the purpose of life
The meaning’s within all this trouble and strife
I hope you can hear me and don’t misconstrue
When you’re gone only atoms is what’s left of you

From nothing to nothing all things we will bring
Deep down information’s the seminal thing
The stuff that we’re made of is numbers and laws
And this is what passes from you unto yours
The dicta and data for regeneration
Your gift: a genetically bound recitation
Don’t give yourself airs or this truth eschew
When you’re gone only atoms is what’s left of you

From nothing to nothing all things we will bring
The same fate will capture both pauper and king
Your plans may be building your nation that’s true
But what are your hopes and your dreams without you?
Quite likely no more than impaired replication
Yet God’s work is guided by such ideation
So draw satisfaction from this, though its true
When you’re gone only atoms is what’s left of you
